The City of Brenham operates the Donald G. Austin Memorial Animal Shelter as well as the Craig C. Cantey Adoption Center. The shelter is used for temporary housing for animals, while the adoption center holds those animals available for adoption.
The Adoption Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The center is also open to the public two Saturdays at month, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Brenham Humane Services typically houses dogs and cats; however, sometimes there are other animals available for adoption.To view dogs that are available for adoption, please click here; for cats, click here; and for other animals, as available, click here.
